Playa de Las Coloradas

Playa de las Coloradas – an informal beach over 400 metres long, just 200 metres walk from the villa.

 

Playa Dorada

Playa Dorada – a large sandy beach ideal for families. Plenty of facilities including lounger and umbrella hire, pedalos, watersports, and a bar that serves food overlooking the beach.

Set back on the promenade behind the beach are bars, cafes, shops and an ice cream parlour.

 

Playa Papagayo

Playas de Papagayo – part of the Los Ajaches nature reserve beaches – they’re unspoilt but there are no facilities so take what you need. The first of the beaches is Playa Mujeres, about a 20 minute walk from the villa.

 

Restaurants and bars

You’ll be spoilt for choice. You can head into Las Coloradas which is on the doorstep of the villa, or stroll along the promenade into Rubicon Marina where there’s a fantastic selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. Further along the promenade are the restaurants, bars and nightlife of central Playa Blanca.

Rubicon Shop&Fun – a shopping centre with a bowling alley at Rubicon Marina. Clothes, designer goods, sports goods, supermarket, hairdresser and more.

 

Rubicon Marina Market – lots of stalls, always busy ! Every Wednesday and Saturday morning 9am – 2pm.

 

Overseas Supermarket Playa Blanca

Overseas Supermarket – just 150 metres from the villa, offering products from Iceland and Waitrose.

Local excursions and activities

Paseo Maritimo

Paseo Maritimo – just two minutes from the villa this is ideal for running or walking – approximately 8km of promenade from Las Coloradas to the Pechiguera lighthouse near Faro Park.

 

Montana Roja Playa Blanca

Montana Roja – to the west of Playa Blanca (about 5km along the promenade from the villa) there is a path up this volcano and around the crater. Breathtaking views.

Isla de Lobos – a ferry trip to Feurta Ventura and onwards to this  nature reserve is popular for tourists interested in flora, fauna and geology.

Cueva de los Verdes – one of the longest volcanic tunnels in the world.

Los Hervidos – spectacular views of the volcanic lava coastline.

 

Timanfaya National Park – 51km2 of protected volcanic landscape.
